Does the App contain all the photos from the Carbs & Cals book?
Absolutely! In fact, the App contains all of the 1,400 images from the Carbs & Cals & Protein & Fat book. It also features a search function, automatic meal calculator and built-in calendar, making the App even more useful than the book, and offers fantastic value for money (available directly from the App Store).
Is the Carbs & Cals App available for Android phones?
Yes! Released in October 2011, the Android App contains many exciting extra features, including branded foods and the ability to take your own food photos to use within the App. Don’t forget to "like" our Facebook Page, and follow us on Twitter to keep up-to-date with all our Android App news.
Is the Carbs & Cals App available for BlackBerry phones?
The BlackBerry App is already in development! Make sure you join the Mailing List on the homepage, and we'll let you know as soon as we have new information about our App for other phones. You can also "like" our Facebook Page, and follow us on Twitter to keep up to date with the Blackberry App news.
If my particular food isn't in the database, can I add it myself?
Yes! Simply press the + button within the App and you can enter custom values for your food's Name, Nutrients and Weight.
Will the App remember all the foods I have added manually?
At the moment, not on the iPhone App, but our Android App does have this facility. We’ll be updating the iPhone App to have all the same functions and features as the Android App, including the facility to save all the foods you have added into your own user database.
I already have the Carbs & Cals App. Will I have to pay any extra for the updates mentioned above?
Absolutely not! If you have already purchased the iPhone or Android App, you will receive all future updates for FREE, including extra functions and features, and all the extra food photos that we will be adding regularly in the future.
I love the Carbs & Cals App! How can I support it?
We are very keen to constantly improve the App based on customer feedback and requirements. If you think there is anything vital missing (e.g. a particularly popular food, or a useful feature), please get in contact and let us know. We will then assess your idea and see if we can implement it in a future update. Also, as this is a health App, we're very keen to get it to as many people as possible, so if you like the App you can support us by giving it a 5-star rating or 5-star review on the iTunes Store or at the Android Market.
